Still Cough cough.. and Sniff...sniff.... (!@#%^%$#$...)

Haze...

11th August 2005

I took this picture which is My ARea (USJ 4) in the afternoon ( around 1pm, yesterday). Too bad i didn't hav any old picture to compare (next time la.. when the haze is gone.. kekekek..). Anyway, it was horrible.. i couldn't even see the tree clearly (the very last one) and unpleasant smell (smoky smell). Hai.. the colour of the sky which caused by sky make my life unhappy and dull. Sigh, when can the clear blue sky with clouds and sunny, bright sun come back? Yesterday, i went to Taipan to buy McD (as my dinner). Gosh.. it was so hazy, dusty and dark. Every car need to switch on the rear light. Another thing, the lamp post in front of my house was on at 8am..till the next day (8am.. normally it will automatically switch off..). SEe.. how bad was it..?!!

Took these two pictures from my room. The view outside my room - the before and after effect of haze.

Before (same time - afternoon around 2pm)

After (around 2pm)

12th August 2005 (Today)

Well today suppose to be a holiday for all the schools and unis. Too bad, Monash Uni dind't close as what had stated on the website that our campus has air conditioned lecture theatres, student loudge and tutorial rooms. Oh well.. had to go back to campus for practical and lectures. I took this picture at 10:40am (as stated from my car's clock). SEe how bad is the haze in Sunway Area (Well.. at least better than yesterday). Anyway, it's still haze. So today when i reached campus, lots of ppl wear mask. I heard from my dad that some companies included his gave out mask to their staff.. oh ya.. Monash also.. gave masks to their staffs and students (this one.. not so sure.. just heard from my friend).

Oh well, wat i can say... Drink more water and wear mask.. (try not to be HERO..).

More pictures ..

12th August , around 11am (On the way to Sunway)

Can you see where is Sunway Pyramid ??

Cough.. Cough.. Sniff...Sniff ..(@#$%...!!)

The title of this post a bit weird..but Once again, Malaysia's air is (And still...) under attack by pollution (heavily). Guess everyone know wat's the factor that caused this EVENT to be happen? Ever since last week, the air is heavily polluted due to open burning from our beloving Neighbouring country , Indonesia and our Beloving peat soil in Cyberjaya. [I guess i had chosed the correct topic for my terrestrial's essay: " The impact of shifting (slash and burn) agriculture on Tropical Rainforest." ]

Still never understand... why people (Human being ; scientific name : Homo sapiens) want to disturb the rainforest (Primary and Secondary)... want to cut down the trees which killed and harmed all the innocent living creatures and disturbed their Ecosystem and also the whole rainforest environment. Still wondering, is this the only method that can help those who want to establish a plantation by destroying the rainforest? Isn't it there are many more empty plots for them to establish? Think la... beside slash and burn method.., there are still many other methods since our technology is so ADVANCE. Besides that, beFore action... COnsult to any of the AGriculture consultant or expertise (Gosh... so what's the point of having AGroforestry Management...??). Now see wat happen to not only their own country's environment, all the neighbouring countries' environment are also BADLY affected.

So wat happen to our Country (M'sia)... Now, residents from S'gor (Klang valley esp) health are badly affected esp for asthmatic patients.. Good example: ME, MyseLf and I. Here are some pictures...

MOrning sun (Kinda hard to see clearly.. bright and sunny..)

Take a look.. How bad is the visibility.. ( Still remember when i took this picture.. got smoky smell.. i can feel that my chest.. feel irritated and hard to breath)

FRom the pictures... our haze.. (well i hav no comment on that) level..sigh... Not only human being, animals and plants are all affected as well (OMG...). Here i would like to mention the types of sickness..

What are the sickness?
a) Flu
b) Cough
c) Asthma*
d) Irritate eye, nose and throat
e) Irritate upper respiratory tract
f) Mood swing (very easily get bad mood..anger, dull, sad..)
g) Fatigue - another words : tired easily
h) Dizziness
i) Headache
j) Migrain
k) Nausea

and the list can go on.... (*Notes for ppl that have ASTHMA : PLEASE TAKE CARE AND BRING INHALER WITH YOU ALL THE TIME...)

So now what we all can do is to take good care of ourselves.
Methods:
1) REDUCE ALL THE OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES (best.. cancel)
2) Drink more water
3) Wear masks
4) Eat more fruits and Vegetables

Another method (beside take good care of ourselves) is to reduce air pollution.

What are the ways ?
a) PLEASE STOP ALL the OPEN BURNING (Stop them immediately since our env. gov said they will be fine on spot.. if they are spotted to do that illegal activities by the officer [ wonder what type of officer?].)

b) Please off the car engine while waiting (Drivers)

c) If can, stop smoking too..

d) Make use of our public transportation (Really hope that Subang esp USJ area IMPROVE their pubLic transportation System.. Please more BUs in USJ).

Therefore..., really do hope co-operation from Everyone. Take care and hope the haze will be gone soon.

Before i end my journal, that's me.. in putrajaya. Took this picture before we left. Thank you, Kak Azlina. I can't wait for the next trip..!!

Comment on the Town:
The only thing that caught my attention and make me not satisfaction about it was maintanence and also the road sign. Sigh.. hopefully can improve since had spend so much money and designers or engineers had poured out so many ideas and hard work there.

Ok la.. next post will be about my Sandakan's trip. Too..Tt.. la =)

This is the Putrajaya Bridge (A must to visit or take a shot..) Nice structure.. ( i wonder how much does it cost to build this bridge).

Flowers...

After a few shots outside the food court, we continue our photo shots journey. Both of us just walked non stop and trying to get a nice place or object that attract our attention. We spotted a waterfall (man made).. I wonder i can call that as water fall or is that another name for that. Then, we also spotted some flowers such as bougainvillea and i think bird of Paradise (wonder am i correct or not? ).

bougainvillea... (found in dictionary..my faithful wordweb.. hav to say thanx a million to Dr phoon for introducing me this dictionary). Nice rite..?

Food Course (outside view)

We went to Prime Minister's office (Malay: Pejabat Perdana Menteri). Yeah.. Very nice place. I tried to take like 3 or 4 photos.. but all turned out to be not that good. Wonder how all those newspaper photographer snap those nice shots. As for me, it is not easy to take a nice shot..(me still got long way to go...). During the whole process (took photos), Kak Azlina taught me lots of stuff. She shared some of her experience to me and i also shared some of mine. Really a nice partner to go out for taking photos. Thanx Kak Azlina.

PuTrajaya...and Masjid Putrajaya

Superb back dated......(2nd July 2005)

Well well.. this happened during the three weeks break. I tot it was just a joke to Kak Azlina. Out of a sudden.. I came out with this crazy idea of just to take shots in Putrajaya in one of the weekends. WEll.. mana tahu (unexpected), She really took it seriously.. and said come.. Why not this saturday (2nd of july). At 1st i was quite shocked about it because most of the time, when i asked her to go out for a drink or take photo, she will just said : " cannot la.., Need to go back jaga anak..or cook dinner for her family." Wow.., Mommy Azlina.. (This happened in Campus..)

Oh well.. We Went to Putrajaya early in the mornin (around 8am). I can said that this was my 2nd time went there. The first time i went there.. i was in a rush.. Didn't manage to enjoy the scenery and the structure of each buildings. (drum rolling.. and c..iiii..aaaannngg..), this was my 1st photo outing and got to stay in Putrajaya for quite long to see how beautiful Putrajaya was. Kak Azlina stopped at the car park where it was just right in front of the mosque (in Malay : Masjid) The first place we stopped to take our 1st shot was Masjid Putra. Oh my.. it was so beautiful and the weather was just so nice to take photo. The arrangement of the clouds and the colour of the sky.. Just so nice.. to be the background.
